BSK Apartment

Featured in Urbis Magazine, the Heather St Apartment by Alex McLeod of Huset underwent a complete transformation, in conjunction with Markham Architecture + Urban Design.

The goal was a New York loft-style apartment, intimate and secure enough for the owner to live in alone, while expansive for entertaining. The penthouse apartment was opened up, dividing walls removed and the kitchen (a feature of the space) repositioned to connect with the dining and living spaces. The finishes are luxe, the lighting layered and no space left unconsidered by Alex, making this space a dream to shoot. However, in typical Auckland fashion, we had huge down pours in-between sunny spells and an unexpected fire alarm to keep us on our toes!

The apartment was a finalist in the 2017 NZ Best Awards, Residential category - Congratulations, Alex !
