Navigating the path of modernising a character home can be a delicate task, balancing the original features that give the home it’s unique character (in whatever state they may be), along with today’s trends and the individual needs of the home owners.
Interior designer Pip Maxwell did just that, bringing this mid-century home back to life with a fresh new colour palette of blues and grey, to sit along side the original features of concrete block, timber joinery and paneling.
Split level with a high peaked ceiling provides plenty of opportunity for artwork and pendant lighting, while the stone tiled flooring nod to the mid-century homes of Palm Springs and LA. The modernised kitchen provides all the luxuries of 21st living, while feeling completely at place as you sip your Martini or Moscow mule.
